This week has been successful! We changed the gearing for the arm to give us more torque. Before, our arm was moving way too fast to control. We also changed the metal on our arm and built the part that will pick up the start during the challenge. Our goal is to be launching stars over the fence within the next 2 weeks!

Week 5 Monday
Today the bot is going to get a tune. My team and I are going to stop the gears from grinding and make the turning stable. So we can make sure the gears won't grind and we lose the package.

Week 3 Monday post
This week our group plans to get to a least the halfway mark of building the robot. We put building the arm to a halt because we are trying to program the drive for our robot. We hope to finish that in a day or two. On the flip side the arena is pretty much done so everything is all coming together.

Week 2 Monday post
The first day on building our robot was on point. Our team had a game plan that mainly focus on the (1) chassis of the robot, (2) Gears ratio, (3) motors, and finally (hopefully) robot & programing. But there are many factors that can affect our robots performance. More updates are soon to be posted,

Week 1 Friday post
This week our group finished a lot of things with the robot. We familiarized ourselves with the game rules and came up with the idea for our robot. We are using a dump method were we scoop made the objectives and put them on the other side. Another thing we are doing is using two rails to support the arm and distribute weight evenly. We drew it out on solidworks and we started building.
